Gribz 837
Hanley doesn't get that knock on the head then we don't lose the first goal. Broon was at fault for both 1st and 2nd goals. England were there for the taken and their media probably expected a easy win. Well done to Strachan, he has taken an average squad in a mess and tidied things up with organisation. If he was in charge at the start of the WC group we'd have had a chance of going to Brazil, instead that gluepot Levein wrecked things.
calscot 0
You have to hand it to Strachan, he's definitely done something - the difference in the team is night and day from Burley and Levein. I think Scotland just need a half decent manager and Eck showed that to be the case while Walter took us to an unexpected level. Strachan is no world class manager but has shown at times that he's half decent and the results are there to see. Set pieces and individual mistakes aside, I thought we played some really good stuff with quick and composed interplay that kept possession well. The defence was less composed though and you could see why MacGregor was punting the ball up the field as it was the safer option. They seemed to tire in the last 25 minutes and England's raft of fresh substitutes looked like they could run us over but we just don't have the quality to bring on to even things up. just wish we could have held out for a draw...
