Anyone In Brora Today

Recommended Posts

ALLY McCOIST will give all of his fit players at least 45 minutes to impress as Rangers kick off their run of summer friendlies against Brora at Dudgeon Park.

The Light Blues boss took his squad for a short walk along part of the local golf club’s course this morning as the group had a relaxing start to the day.

Now the focus is on taking on the Highland League Cattachs, who had an impressive 2-0 victory against a full-strength Ross County team in midweek.

Andy Mitchell is out of the match after jarring his ankle towards the end of yesterday afternoon’s training session while Sebastien Faure also misses out with a knock.

But all bar one of the other 21 players who have come north from Glasgow will get a half barring injuries, with only Robbie Crawford earmarked to play the whole game.

Trialist Belil Mohsni will start the game alongside Emilson Cribari at the heart of the defence, with Richard Foster and Cammy Bell also in the first XI.

Andy Little and Lee McCulloch – a 51-goal partnership last season – are paired up front with Ian Black and Kyle Hutton together in central midfield.

Fans will have to wait until the restart to catch a glimpse of other new recruits Nicky Law, Stevie Smith, Jon Daly and Nicky Law.

Seven players will make their first senior appearances for the club including Scott Gallacher and Kyle McAusland, who will come on after the break.

Smith and Foster will also be making second debuts for Gers having spent time with the 54-times Scottish champions previously.

A capacity crowd of around 2,300 will be at the coastal ground, which is bathed in warm sunshine as the excellent weather continues in the north.

If you can’t attend the game, you can get live updates on Twitter via @rfc_official subject to network coverage.
