In 1893 Dundee FC were formed following an amalgamation of two local clubs and on August 12th 1893 they played Rangers FC in their first ever league match. The original match which ended in a 3-3 draw is depicted on the cover of all DFC season ticket books and brochures this year and everyone at Dens is looking forward to the game which is the first commemorative event of the season to celebrate our 120th anniversary. We are delighted that the Glasgow giants have agreed to honour this part of our history and will warmly welcome the club and itâ??s fans to Dens Park at the end of July.
