Neil Lennonâ??s official websites has gone bust over a huge tax bill

Recommended Posts

THE firm behind Neil Lennonâ??s official websites has gone bust over a huge tax bill.

Matador Creative ran the Celtic bossâ??s personal internet presence, including his popular social network pages. But itâ??s been forced into liquidation for failing to pay HMRC £108,053 tax on staff wages, and VAT.

The firm was owned by web guru Jacqueline Doherty, 42. But she quit as a director in October, seven weeks after going bankrupt with personal debts of around £2MILLION.

Court papers show an interim liquidator was appointed for Matador and its creditors called to a meeting this month. In December, neillennon.com was shut down after a merchandise copyright row with Celtic. His Facebook page, also run by Matador, hasnâ??t been updated since January.

A source close to Lennon said: â??Heâ??s not sure whatâ??s happening to the website.â? Lennon declined to comment.
