54andcounting 0
I see they have entered the 3rd qualifying round of the 2013/14 Europa League. They like us went into meltdown in 2009 then were awarded a license to start again in the bottom tier in 2010. They won promotion back to the top then won the cup last season for European qualification. A precedent has been set.
Super Cooper 0
2009 was more than 3 years ago though. We won't be back into Europe until we get there by league placing.
RANGERRAB 3,617
2009 was more than 3 years ago though. We won't be back into Europe until we get there by league placing. which is why we need to consider SPL2(if offered) so we're in the top division in 2014/15 when we'd be going for a Euro place in 2015/16
Guest Geo the Ger
Not quite Derry City - Paranoid FC fans are not slow in calling us Sevco, Newco, Oldco, Tesco, etc., but tend to ignore the fact that their Edinburgh brothers proudly claim to have won the Scottish Cup twice, 1887 and 1902, despite, due to mismanagement, ceasing to exist in 1891!! During all our troubles I've never read or heard anything about this being mentioned by the press or media. Why did we have to suffer a near demise, yet this wasn't used as an example in our fight to remain in the corrupt SPL or even seeking entry to the SFL, without too many penalties being laid before us?
54andcounting 0
2009 was more than 3 years ago though. We won't be back into Europe until we get there by league placing. It's more than 3 years ago yes..but they couldn't compete in UEFA comps in seasons 2010/11 2011/12 and 2012/13. The irish seasons run from march to October DC won the cup in 2012 so qualifying them for the 2013/14 Europa league. If Rangers win the 2014/15 Scottish Cup (or lose in the final to c**t**) they will qualify for the Europa league.
