Apologies if promoting another Rangers site is frowned upon on gersnetonline.co.uk, if so, please delete. This post is to let the members here know about an alternative to the likes of Radio Snyde, etc.

http://www.RangersChat.com is a young site of just over a year old and has a live 'tim-free' call-in show every weekday from 9PM-10PM (usually extended) and provides Rangers supporters with a means to discuss all things Rangers in a friendly format.

The 'panel' are all 100% Bluenoses and the current format gives a roundup of the day's breaking news and then the opportunity for fellow Bluenoses to call in and have your say either via a local Glasgow number (0141 416 1452) or Skype without the anti-Rangers bias present on other call-in shows.

The show is attracting callers such as Tom(Commentator)Miller of RangersTV, your own D'Artagnan and many others with great insights and informative discussion on the club we love.

There is, among other features, a live 'chatroom' lobby to banter with the members and Rangers Chat Radio with a selection of regular music and that of the 'traditional' Rangers variety where requests will be accommodated where possible. Each show is recorded and the archives can be listened to at your leisure on PC or mobile at http://mixlr.com/rangerschat/showreel/ with no registration necessary.

Sign-up is as simple as joining any forum and has a broad membership where you'll likely recognise folks from this and other Rangers forums.

RangersChat.com will be glad to welcome you along for a try.

I had to wash my ears out after listening to this.....:eek2:

Just a bunch of Gers fans venting their anger with heavy language, not my cup of tea I'm afraid

Had to edit this after being reminded that it may have been shows from previous months before Ian and Fox took over as hosts......

You should listen to recent shows before making an all round judgement on the show mate....the occasional slip up should not be a foregone conclusion on what the show represents which is a LIVE call in show for ALL Rangers Fans(even the ones with Scots Tourettes)...but would say that it is not anywhere near how it used to be...honestly, have a listen to the shows on the link below. I think you might be pleasantly surprised. We have new hosts and although Limmy and Co were more banter and wind up merchants, our new hosts Ian and Fox are long time fans in their gentleman prime.

http://mixlr.com/rangerschat/showreel/ You will enjoy the interaction with Iain McColl from the Founders Trail particularly good, 20th May with Rangers Blogger, D'Artagnan as well as the 8th May with Tom Miller, Anniversary shows dedicated to Helicopter Sunday and Barcelona 72.

There's no problem with you promoting your radio show/podcast call-in program on Gersnet folks, although we would hope that you stick around and get involved on the forum here too.

Best of luck with the project. :tu::)

I was listening to recent - like as recent as you get - live and all that it wasn't the archive stuff you're referring to.

I'll give it another listen sometime in the coming week and come back on here and review it....would be nice if yourself could reply. :tu:

Appreciate your accommodation Zappa, thanks. :tu:

Not my show, just a mere listener and occasional caller (the rubbish singer) sharing the site with fellow Bears.

I have been remiss in posting and will try to change that, especially as I enjoy reading pretty much all of Frankie's balanced articles on here.

Friday's show was, I agree towards the end, rather more colourful in the language department :oops:than usual so apologies if it caught you by surprise, perhaps a caution in the OP might have been appropriate.

I doubt Rangerschat would claim exclusivity among the podcasts on the use of industrial language since after all we are all grown-up Bears talking passionately about the issues surrounding our club.

As Sweettartangirl mentioned there is a load of good stuff in the archives worth a wee listen. Thanks for tuning in and I'm pleased it hasn't put you off

I am replying? lol

Anyway, we don't claim to be professionals and it is a live show. We are respectful to keeping it after the watershed as there will always be Scots Tourettes(as I call it). We try our best to keep the language to a minimum although sometimes admittedly it does become somewhat passionate. Although it is very rarely that it goes into overkill. We will take your opinions on board though and I will pass it on. So thank you for your feedback.
