craig 5,199
You must think Ross Perry is a world beater then because as kids, Perry was always the better player according to the coaches at Ibrox. Players develop differently at different ages. Perry may well have been a better player in the underage groups, but it is undoubted that Wilson shone in the Rangers first team when given the chance.
Super Cooper 0
Champions league experience, signed by Liverpool. It may not have went right for him at Liverpool but how many Scottish players of the last 15-20 years have gone to a historied English Premiership team ? I saw very, very few Bears complaining about Wilson's lack of ability whilst at Rangers.... Champions League experience through necessity more than anything else. Liverpool are nothing like the club of old you speak of either, the club who spent the best part of £100m on Andy Carroll, Stuart Downing and Charlie Adam. I actually remember quite a few sceptical of his talents at the time as he was found out on more than one occasion. He will never be the centre half some people think he will be. A relegation dog fight in the SPL is just about his level.

Revisionism at it's finest.
Super Cooper 0
well i can assure you they were very very very very wrong. And yet they are working for the club and spent their lives in the game yet you are stuck on a computer chatting on online forums.
the gunslinger 3,366
Perry was nothing like as good. Unless the coaches are going back to when they were 13. It's utterl inconceivable a coach said this and actually thought it was true.
the gunslinger 3,366
Mate the difference between them was huge. Massive.Perry was almost the worst player in our u19 s at the time. Wilson was our best and only ness came close. Wilson was the captain for a reason. Either you or the coach who said it is grossly mistaken.
the gunslinger 3,366
Are we to believe that despite Ross supposedly being the better player and being 22 months older Walter smith chose Danny. Are we to believe despite this Liverpool paid 5 million for Danny. I first saw the two play together when Wilson was 15 and Perry 17 and Danny was already in a different class all together. At one point the two Scotland ch were Wilson and a lad from hibs IIRC both were a lot better than Perry.

54andcounting 0
Who's this guy Arnold Peralta? I get a bit 'worried' about going after players without a club especially foreign blokes
