der Berliner 3,747
i though hutton was better than black last season frankly. their may well be a player in there. He was drafted in against ManU for a reason (not solely because the lack of players). Hutton sure can be a really good player at times, tackles, making a decent pass and all that. Yet, while some took last season by the cruff of the neck - Macleod, McKay, Crawford - he possibly assumed that he'd made it already and simply failed to show the decent enough attitude on the park. The debate about Black is done to death. Yet, IMHO, he will and gave us the 100% an Ian Black is capable of throughout the season, something that can possibly only been said of Little and Wallace. He was never a world beater and probably never will be, but as games alongside Law and Macleod have shown of late, he does know how to play quality football too. (And yes, it is still not the quality many of us like to see or are/were used to see by a player in Blue. But there you go. Rangers are not playing where we are used to.) He most likely will not be in any Bears' first team right now, but I doubt that Hutton will be ahead of him in any subs list either.
stewarty 2,027
Hutton was showing up well in pre-season, and was a standout in the early matches IIRC. That might earn him another chance this season. But for me, its his last.
