chilledbear 16
Ally McCoist has not given up hope of agreeing a contract with defender Bilel Mohsni. His agent held talks with Craig Mather, chief executive of the Ibrox club, ahead of a friendly with Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night but they have yet to agree terms. However, McCoist is optimistic that a contract will be agreed. Mohsni would then sign for the club officially after Rangers' registration embargo ends on September 1. "All I know is the player wants to come," said the Rangers manager. The Ibrox club are also reportedly in discussions to form a partnership with Dutch club Fortuna Sittard, which would allow youth coaches to swap between clubs and Rangers' youth players be loaned to Sittard. The talks have been facilitated by Fernando Ricken, who played for both clubs. "Rangers seem to show a lot of interest," said the Dutchman. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/talks-are-ongoing-to-take-mohsni-to-ibrox.21693357

Guest BigSwanley
Now that would be a link up well worth following. I really hope that comes off. Aye, that would mean that the Rangers youths would be at the top of their game at PS3, Nandos, and fireworks.
Rangers Football Club 0
ALLY McCOIST is hopeful of tying up a deal for Bilel Mohsni soon as the players agent continues talks with Rangers CEO Craig Mather. * The defender impressed in training and matches during the clubâ??s tours to northern Scotland and Germany. Now the Rangers boss is eager for deal to be sealed to secure the tall centre back as his eighth addition to the squad this summer. McCoist said: â??Iâ??m very hopeful that a deal is being done with Mohsni as we speak. His agent is up at the moment and is speaking with Craig. â??Nothing is over the line yet but I would be hopeful that we might have some news on that.â? McCoist is also still monitoring other potential recruits with defenders, goalkeepers and forwards still on his radar. He added: â??The Boris Pandza situation is still on-going. I would be thrilled if we could get the two of those boys. â??Weâ??re still monitoring the goalkeeping situation. Scott Gallacher played very well against Sheffield Wednesday but I think it would be in his and our best interests to get him out on loan so he can play every week. â??To do that we would need to get another goalkeeper in so thatâ??s an on-going situation as well. â??Kenny Miller resigned with Vancouver, which was a disappointment to us, but we wish him well and weâ??ll have a look about for a centre forward.â? Craigy1881 79
BILEL MOHSNI has become the eighth new addition to Ally McCoist's squad this summer. The 26-year-old agreed a two year deal this afternoon and will be registered on September 1 when the club's embargo is lifted. The French Tunisian spent time with McCoist's squad in Brora and in Germany this summer and impressed at the heart of the defence. He joins Jon Daly, Nicky Clark, Nicky Law, Steven Smith, Richard Foster, Arnold Peralta and Cammy Bell as new faces in the Light Blues group. Mohsni will not be eligible to feature until September but will continue to train with the squad in the interim. The move sees McCoist secure a fresh face for a position that he has wanted to strengthen all summer. We'll have exclusive reaction from the defender soon on your official club channels.

chilledbear 16
Sky Sports understands that former Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe is training with Scottish League One side Rangers. The 33-year old is available on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at the Britannia Stadium earlier this summer. Sidibe's final years as a Stoke player were plagued by injury, although he spent the majority of last season out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Tranmere Rovers. The Mali international, who joined from Gillingham in 2005, spent eight years as a Stoke player, scoring 26 goals in the process. Rangers have had a number of players on trial already this summer, notably former Sheffield United and Motherwell midfielder Nicky Law, as manager Ally McCoist prepares for the forthcoming season following his side's promotion from the Third Division. http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...g-with-rangers
