The Actual Way Forward â?? No Room for Sentiment

Recommended Posts

Last weekâ??s BBC Scotland story regarding a leaked paper about the clubâ??s future football philosophy has attracted a lot of debate â?? not least when we consider the Beebâ??s latest ban has been attributed in part to them publishing what may or may not be an â??officialâ?? document.

After all, while it seems investor David Gowans did indeed write the report, itâ??s debatable whether or not the club was ever intending to act upon it. Mr Gowans certainly had the ear of Charles Green (he was part of the top table during at least one fans meeting) but I think itâ??s fair to say itâ??s a leap for anyone (not least the mischief-making BBC) to suggest such an empirical wish-list was any more realistic than our childrenâ??s annual Christmas letter to Santa.

Many thanks for this, well put.

I read something else from TRS this morning that ended with the comment (re banter) that it's all supposed to be fun, after all...................well, no, after all that has happened banter and fun are dead for me, forever. They used to be a major part of it all before others destroyed the concept.
