DEREK Johnstone today warned Charles Green and Imran Ahmad to stop stoking up boardroom unrest behind the scenes at Rangers.

Former Rangers director Imran Ahmad and ex-chief executive Charles Green

The Ibrox legend claims the former chief executive and ex-director Ahmad were behind damaging actions which unsettled the club.

Green and commercial chief Ahmad quit in controversial circumstances. An independent probe is ongoing to determine if they have any past or present links to disgraced former chairman Craig Whyte.

Green stepped down as chief executive, but remains a director until the end of May.

It is understood he took part in a Rangers board meeting on Monday by conference call, but missed one the next day.

SportTimes columnist DJ hit out after another turbulent week for the club.

A new dossier compiled by an Ibrox investor, reported to be an associate of Green, appeared to suggest boss Ally McCoist should be sacked and Dutch legends Johan Cruyff and Frank Rijkaard ushered in as replacements, was leaked last weekend.

He said: "This is the kind of stuff which has been leaking out for the past few months.

"It is absolute nonsense. I don't know who was responsible for this particular document, but it appears that Ahmad and Charles Green have stirred things up before they have left and Rangers are now having to deal with the fall-out.

"Well, enough is enough. If they and whoever are behind these reports really have feelings for Rangers, they should be helping the club to pull in the right direction.

"The board have a difficult enough job without any meddling from people who were in key positions."

He added: "I read the document that was leaked from Rangers last week and I can't believe that people were taking it seriously.

"Ally said tongue in cheek after the game last Saturday it was an electrician who put it in, it is an opinion from someone and the whole thing is a joke.

"I mean Cruyff and Rijkaard? Are you having a laugh? no one could take this stuff seriously, but some people do.

"This is the kind of thing that does not reflect well on those behind it and I hope they now end it once and for all for the good of the club."

and that was because d@p set it up that way.

if we stick to the facts we know for a fact their was no open asset sale.

that in itself rules out d@p doing what was best for creditors.

You do wonder though why those calling D&P's actions into question did not appeal to the Court of Session et al at the time.

they went to the cops and bdo.

stopping the sale its self would have been disastrous for rangers. months in court with no owner.

not something any rangers fan would want.

getting back on topic here, I think people would do well to remember what whyte was able to do when he removed all corporate governance from the club.

fraud on a grand scale.

if mm is big on proper corporate governance hes my guy. even if that costs a bit and means we need to put up with green a few weeks longer.
