forlanssister 3,114
Yet the best bid for the creditors was accepted, as per their duties. That remains to be seen.
craig 5,199
Green saved Rangers. Really ? I think you give him too much credit. You think that somebody else couldnt have come up with 5.5 million to buy us ? Green enriched Green. he put up not a penny of his own money to get us. He was nothing more than a figure head at the end of the day. somebody, somewhere would have come up with 5.5 million for the assets of Rangers - they were very cheap and they would have been bought. I am not anti-Green, but painting him as our saviour, as if he was the only one that could have done it, is incorrect IMO.

simplythebest 0
when did 5.5 million become better than 6? I could in theory contact an ebay seller and bid more than you after you've already won the process.
simplythebest 0
and given we never got an open asset sale who knows what might have been raised in an honest process. We were only confirmed as playing football this season at the 11th hour, you seriously think we had time for yet more bidding wars, and the likes of HMRC and BDO possibly sniffing around the assets individually?

The notion that an open straight asset sale would not have raised more than £5.5m is frankly bizarre.
UCF2008 0
We were only confirmed as playing football this season at the 11th hour, you seriously think we had time for yet more bidding wars, and the likes of HMRC and BDO possibly sniffing around the assets individually? It's all hypothetical of course but there's nothing to say that had another bidder been successful that we would have had to wait till the 11th hour. We could even have been playing in the SPL this season if the CVA hadn't been rushed with a derogatory take it or leave offer.
SteveC 150
I could in theory contact an ebay seller and bid more than you after you've already won the process. You could go on a website and do something other than rave about Charles Green as the Second Coming of Christ, (not Whyte the anti-Christ). Really? Have you ever tried this theory out?) [insert smiley JOKE symbol]
