Lying or ideas and exaggeration that came to not much? That's always been my attitude towards those things.

Look it's fairly clear neither Man U nor the Dallas Cowboys have entered into any conversations with Green on a formal or indeed informal basis. That being the case he shouldn't pretend they have, indeed don't mention it at all. He's not a braggart down the pub he's the CEO of Rangers.

Bain didn't want the club sold to Whyte and if it hadn't been sold to Whyte we wouldn't be where we are now discussing Green & co (and their secret backers).

And maybe if he and others had stood up to Murray more we'd never have been in a position to even discuss Whyte.

Who said we would take Bain back ? Nobody. GS simply said that Bain would be a step up from CG - doesnt mean that there arent far better than either of them out there.

But Bain had years as our CEO with a much better starting position, Green has had a few months and started with the club demoted. Even if you prefer Bain as a person some context is needed about their Rangers reigns.

He's been calling the shots for almost a year now and he still seems to need reminding that he should be more careful with what he's saying.

You say he started off with the club being demoted as if he played no part in it whatsoever. It could be argued he was a central figure in the process of our being voted out and didn't do what a really good CEO might have done and swayed the vote in our favour.

I'm obviously not saying it was his fault as he was effectively thrown in at the deep end, but neither am I convinced that battle couldn't have been won.

The vast majority of our fans demanded we didn't plead or negotiate to get voted in.

As far as I recall it was in response to us getting voted out of the SPL that a large portion of the support started calling for Div3 as opposed to dealing for Div1.

Besides we didn't have to plead or negotiate. Some simple diplomacy alongside a clear picture of the clubs ownership and financial viability might have swung it. None of which Green and Murray were capable of delivering.
