Stirling Albion 1 : 1 Rangers (FT)

I for one excuse the utter lapse of dignity shown up there towards a fellow Bear. And matter of fact, there is no excuse being given, just a fact. If you and others regard Hegarty, Argyriou, Hutton, Naismith and McKay as experienced, there is no helping you. All of them have been in and out of the side as well and where we lack most - at set pieces in defence, there you do not find much experience or the discipline and instincts that come with it.

I dont see it as lacking dignity, merely calling a spade a spade.

Got to hand it to you for your optimism DB and staunch backing of the team. But I do get the feeling if you were on the Titanic you would've been shouting its ok we're going to miss it all the way up to the first crash. :D:thup:

its extremely tiresome. comical ali-esque.

A ...

... ? Apalling.

Sorry dB but it WAS nonsense. Call it what you will but what you said was, IMHO, nonsense.

Using "inexperience" as an excuse for poor results is nonsense. We are playing part-timers for goodness sakes.

If you are offended by my assertion then I apologise, but what I wont apologise for is my belief that inexperience is a very poor excuse.

It looks to me that whatever they do in training - and no-one can tell me that Cribari has no clue about defending - they still manage to switch off on the field, at the most inopportune moments. I don't for a second believe that the management ain't up in orbit when they see that chicken dance in our penalty area time and again. But they are at the sidelines and can't whip these people who continually fail to do their job. We can bump up a dozen reasons why this is the case, IMHO the main thing is a certain lack of discipline, coupled with inexperience ... and yesterday height too. We will not be able to rectify this before September and we may see someone being promoted from the youngsters now that Perry's out.

In case it was missed, Earth still turns smoothly today and it was not like Stirling hammered us with chance after chance. Credit to them for their effort, but we created their goal due to our shortcomings.

DB - honestly mate, although I agree with some of the points you make it was more than that. As I stated earlier in the thread - I was right behind Ally etc and the lack of guidance, instruction, reprimanding, basic leading, was staggering. Basically the most vociferous Ally got all night was shouting at Durrant for something (I think Durrant was sitting sniping at the time). "Keep working lads" was as good as it got. We are playing in Div 3 with a formation 'not to lose' which is staggering. Rangers playing two holding midfieders (ineffective otherwise most of the time as well, especially Black). The chasm between our back 6 and the front men was embarassing. The midfield was overrun with red shirts, but when they won the ball they piled forward as a unit with us all over the place at the back. Every successful side in the modern game moves around the park as a unit and hunts in packs. There is never a no mans land between back and front. I don't shoot the management team down for the sake of it, but the tactics are very poor and there is an obvious unhappiness in a number of the players (and staff).
