forlanssister 3,114
absolutely disgusting. dirty orange b*stard is not sectarian now? this country is utter poison. The charge is BOP, whether he has been charged with BOP with sectarian aggravation or not will be known tomorrow. You cannot be charged with a "Sectarian Breach of the Peace" as that does not exist.
Gazza_8 233
Thread on FF saying he has been charged with Breach of the Peace no mention of anything sectarian surprise surprise. There's no way the guy would've been done with a BOP. I also believe their would've been a sectarian aggravation added to the charge. There's a statute BOP which is less serious but similar to a common law one that he would've been done with. This was introduced in 2010.

Just because people saw it doesn't mean they're going to speak up in a court of law. Many a civi decides not to get involved. I doubt his mates will speak up against him and the shop staff either. Can Joe Public who was in the shop placing a bet be bothered either? Sadly, that's all to a regular occurrence.

It's not always about being bothered though, sometimes it about concern of the consequences, which given some of the fuckwits is a valid concern.

Where I work, it's all about being bothered and seen to be helping "the polis". Too many people look and keep walking. They're just not interested in bringing criminals to justice.
Guest sergi
A man has appeared in court accused of shouting abuse at former Scotland goalkeeper Andy Goram. Aaron Laing, 25, is alleged to have engaged in behaviour “likely to incite public disorder” on Saturday at a Ladbrokes bookies in Peterhead. He appeared from custody at the town's sheriff court on Tuesday. Laing is accused of shouting, swearing and directing comments of an abusive and sectarian nature towards the former Rangers star or being threatening and abusive in the same manner. He was also charged with stirring up hatred on religious grounds by posting a video containing abusive and sectarian comments on social networking sites on January 19 at Ladbrokes in Drummers Corner. Both alleged offences were said to have been aggravated by religious prejudice ahead of the Peterhead v Rangers game on January 20. Laing denied all the charges against him and is due to appear in court later this year Edited January 22, 2013 by sergi
