The midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is said to have been refused an extension by current club Chelsea. Arsenal and Manchester United were both monitoring Lampardâ??s situation, however it is being suggested that Galaxy have won the race to sign the midfield veteran. â??Itâ??s all but done,â?? a source told Goal.com During Chelseaâ??s tour of North America last year, Lampard hinted he would like to play in the MLS in the future but would wait to see if the Blues extended his contract first. â??I am not sure [about a future in MLS],â?? Lampard said at the time. â??I have another year on my contract at Chelsea and we have a big season ahead of us with the Super Cup and the Club World Cup in December. Itâ??s up to Chelsea to speak with me about my future and, at that time, Iâ??ll speak with them.â?? Gribz 743 Posted January 19, 2013 Share Posted January 19, 2013 A move for the money and lifestyle, however considering Fat Frank has been a good player (in a good side) then he deserves a wind down. If I was him Id have had 1 year at either Man Utd or Arsenal then made the move.
