calscot 0
£1M is a pretty good fillip for the transfer kitty in January. I'm well pleased at that.

craig 5,199
1 mill for a player that did more damage than good and also didn't want to stay at the club.... great business - thanks DA !!!
Guest Stan Smith
Think I'd need to be convinced we have received a mill to be honest. Bottom line, glad he is away as our wee "relationship" was over.
elderslieblue 0
Radio news says "No details of any transfer fee has been released". Guaranteed............we got hee-haw for him.
Leppardized2001 0
Well as I said in my other post regarding Ricksens departure, i'd be amazed if Zenit haven't paid some money to take him on loan for the season as well as covering the majority of his wages for this season. This being the case, i'm sure a future transfer fee has been agreed if the arrangement worked out to the benefit of all parties involved. Think £1million is a reasonable fee for a former Dutch internationalist who has a good few of years top flight football in him. The one thing I would say is what would happen to him say were Dick Advocaat to get the bullet from Zenit as he's obviously an Advocaat favourite. craig 5,199
One thing you can be sure of..... If no details are released of the transfer fee then we definitely didn't get what he should be worth. You think DM or Bain would miss out on a chance to say "I am a great businessman and just got rid of this cancer at the club and got x pounds for him - what a great businessman I am" ??
Gribz 919
So the million pound thing is a myth? I expected as much! I also read they had taken over his contract so it sounds like its just been a straight swap. I couldnt see a Russian side paying a million for a 30 yr old SPL player who had problems anyway. But the main thing is he is off our books. Ok he did perform 1 great season for us all be it he may have been looking for a new contract, but he won us some games ie that free kick at Pittodrie in the league cup. And lets start a wee debate - What was Fernando's position?? Id say a utility man coz he was neither comfortable at RB or midfielder.
