Clearly you miss the point. Instead of assuming something is a "stupid question" perhaps you might look at what is being suggested first.

You yourself said that Celtic would win everything because of their high wage bill compared to ours. You then.... in the post prior to the above, say that because we pay wages higher than everyone except Celtic that we should be expecting more than a part time league title. Which infers you expect more than a part time cup (Ramsdens too), which would then suggest that, given we only play in the League Cup and Scottish Cup, you would expect us to lift those. Yet you say because we arent competing with Celtic's salaries that they will walk away with everything every year.

So, I ask again, which is it to be ? You cant have everything.

Do you expect Rangers, in the 4th tier, to win that league but none of the "major trophies" or do you expect us to win those major cups even though we cant compete with Celtic's wage bill. Surely you can see what I am saying now ?

It looks to me as if you are suggesting :

1. Celtic pay far more than we do so will win all the major trophies.

2. We are paying more wages than anyone else apart from Celtic so should be winning major trophies.

It cant be both.

i didnt assume it was a silly question craig, i knew it was.

now you inferring, is certainly an assumption.

it is to be what i said, read it for what it says and not for what you want it to say.

i expect rangers to destroy this league in record time with record goals and points, easily win the ramsdens cup and put up a good show in the domestic cups as long as we dont draw celtic in early rounds. they are the only rival we should be wary of because they are the only rival who can buy and have better players than us.

1. they do and they and i expect them to win just about every trophy. life is just going to get easier for them in scotland from now on. i fully expect them to win the treble this year and they will.

2. we are paying more in wages than everyone else except celtic of course we are and as long as we dont draw celtic in the early rounds we should be playing the very later stages of the 2 big domestic cups.

like i say, it is what i say it is craig. there is no confusion, nothing difficult to understand.

Firstly, the biggest salaried team ALWAYS won then football would be very boring and cups would be irrelevant.

Secondly, if it were true then currently Celtic would definitely win both the cups and SPL with Hearts being runners up and second. Basing the rest on attendances, Hibs would be third, Aberdeen fourth and Dundee Utd fifth.

Hearts have an £8m wage bill and so considering their league position this logic is poor and shows a lack of understanding of football. ICT are SEVEN places ahead of Hearts and so shows that a defeat to them was not as big a shock as some would like to think. Motherwell are just behind Inverness and so it shows that was a decent win.

But in the end it's all about how you play in one game on the day which is what the romance of the cup is all about and there are many lower league clubs with far lower salaries that have done well over the years. There are plenty of cup "upsets" or "shocks" to show that it happens frequently.

As for saying we only play ONE youngster, someone has obviously not being paying the slightest attention to the Rangers team sheets.
