Gers fans defy Green Tannadice ticket plea

Recommended Posts

Of course a tv boycott is unworkable. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of some fans castigating others for attempting to go, then sitting watching it on sky. Cancelling your sky sub would have hurt all the spl teams more than a cup game boycott ever could. Even watching this game on tv, in great numbers, encourages SKY to offer them all a new, or better deal next year. Where do you draw the line of boycotting activity?

By far their biggest source of funding, until this season obviously, has been our fans turning up at their grounds.

By far their biggest course of funding, until this season obviously, has been our fans turning up at their grounds.

Are you just guessing at that, or do you have actual figures? What exactly does that mean anyway? You mean biggest one-off stream of income, or overall we are their main source of income? Either way, it doesn't really apply to this game, seeing as we get roughly half the gate.

FFS can't you no see that this is Scumdee Utd. and the Sun flying a kite? This is made up fantasy designed to undermine us and by some of the replies in this thread its working. Papers and clubs/political parties are expert at this kind of thing,

Believe it or not, some fans don't read forums or listen much to greens pish. Some of us just want to watch the team and cant bothered with stupid one-upmanship politics.

Not sure why you think some of our support would go up there looking for bother. Strange thing to say.

Believe it or not, we'll no doubt have fans who'll want to stop other Rangers fans from getting through the turnstiles because it goes against what they think. They'll go to any lengths to get the point/view across.

Every team has a few knuckle head fans.

I think he means to form a sort of picket line.

I don't but thanks for trying to get my point across.

I meant it's the majority v the minority. If the minority get in through the turnstiles then the majority won't be impressed.

Maybe in not explaining myself correct but I think you're analysing it a bit too much ComeAffIt.

You are aware that watching it on tv also fills DU's pockets? So are you watching it on tv, or not?

How does it do that? How do they know what channel you watched? The only people that count there are the one's that have the special box to monitor what they watch.

There is also a lot of simplicity here, Dundee Utd have stated time and again that they don't like us, don't want us and don't need us - why would you want to pay them to step into their stadium after that? That's a massive difference to walking into your own livingroom - or stadium.

For every Rangers ticket sold, they will be gleeful and rubbing it in our faces - why give your enemies that pleasure?
