Bluedell 5,928
The song isn't about Rangers, that's my point. That wasn't your point.
Bluedell 5,928
Both end their statements with words from a song that is not about Rangers, yet various bloggers have issued articles in the past few days asking for unity, yet the singing and chanting of various political/terrorist songs are one of the most devisive issues that concern our support for the club. Sad days indeed in one of the most critical era's this club will ever go through, selfish people want to attach their political views and terrorist affiliations onto the club which in turn feeds "our enemies" with ammunition to hit us with. Happy St Stephen's Day, folks!! It's sad when you have to insult your fellow fans to get your agenda across.
ComeOffit 0
The song isn't about Rangers, that's my point. Why dont you start your own singing section then, with "Rangers songs" only, or just moan about it on the internet. Better still, print off a list of songs that you approve of, so nobody upsets you.
ComeOffit 0
While we're at it, what does Penny Arcade have to do with Rangers? Ban it................
Gazza_8 233
It's sad when you have to insult your fellow fans to get your agenda across. "Fellow fans". And what? They're not family or friends. They're people who follow the same team. I don't owe them anything and vice versa.
EDGE 0
Derry's Walls may not be about Rangers per se but it's a tremendous chant and one the majority sing at Ibrox. It's inoffensive and some of its lines are ideal in terms of describing how some fans feel about the way they support the club. "Most people" sing it? How do you gauge that? And the song describes how some people feel about supporting Rangers? How do you support Rangers? I sing a song about a battle in another country 300 years ago.

(There are of course exceptional circumstances, but largely it holds true).

Any other time they could fight one another outside a pub on Sauchiehall Steeet and not care that they both support te same team.
BEARGER 1,861
TBO statement is very far from a complete backing of the UB. Reading between the lines it looks like there could be some friction there.
