Super_Ally 0
No one appears to have any reliable information as to what is going on with this.
bossy 0
I believe that they announced that they were going to seek leave to appeal. But that does not mean they have or that leave has been granted. The silence so far is interesting.
biggordy 0
The way I understood it was they were granted leave to appeal but had to lodge it by close of business today!
kuznetsov 0
they are probably still trying to bribe the two who voted in our favour to change their decision
rbr 1,278
They have to appeal to the court to grant an appeal , and they must be very specific under which aspect they are appealing . Considering the 2 people who voted for us were QC,s and on points of law as opposed to an accountant who voted against on her opinion I would say it looks good
bossy 0
When the firm I worked for got audited by the US tax authorities, they leaked information about the audit to the Wall Street Journal. The result was a big article about how the partners had been playing fast and loose with the tax and how they expected them to have to pay up thousands each. Result of the audit was that the firm had actually paid about $20 million dollars more than they should have. I personally got a cheque for $12,000. Funnily enough, the IRS kept very quiet about that. Nothing was leaked to the press and there were no articles in the Wall Street Journal or any other newspaper. All that to say .... no news is good news.
der Berliner 4,145
This will have some folks up in arms again ... BTW, that would be the end? No higher authority they can appeal too (if they fail this deadline)?
