Darthter 542 Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 CHARLES GREEN has today issued the following statement regarding an article in the matchday programme at Saturday's away game with Montrose. He said: “I and all our supporters were dismayed by some of the content of the matchday programme at Montrose on Saturday which was clearly intended to ridicule our Club. "I have spoken personally to the Chairman of Montrose today and he and his fellow directors have offered Rangers an unreserved apology which I am happy to accept. “We were made extremely welcome at Montrose on Saturday and the club’s hospitality was fantastic, as has been our experience throughout the SFL this season.” SPL/SFA take note.... It's incredibly disrespectful to a club that have done you no wrong and who are bringing two huge sellouts to your ground. The thing is that it's in writing and published and there for everyone to see and you usually want to sell programmes to the opposition fans too. You're obviously going to get caught. If it was a fanzine then fair enough but this is a club publication which gives the club a voice. I really struggle to see where the motivation could come from. It seems like we've been very good and respectful since moving to the SFL but that doesn't seem 100% reciprocated by the member clubs - and we've just had the Elgin scandal and the inflated prices set with pathetic excuses for the QP game. Major over-reaction from some of us again and a nice statement from Montrose clearing things up. "rogue tarrier" - are there any non-rogue ********? I don't think Montrose has many green yins. bluebear54 0 Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Below is the response from Montrose director regarding their programme on Saturday stating Rangers were a new club....."morning what can i say i am utterly devastated and dissappointed that someone within my club was responsible for this and i can personally ensure you that after being informed of same i have apolgised to ally in person before rangers left the ground and have requested an internal... enquiry to find out who was responsible for this stupidity and embarassed myself and all at montrose , rest assured we are not happy about this at all and am gutted after all efforts to make the day a day to remember i will keep you informed and can assure you and all invovled with rangers that an official apology will be made ,once again my sincere apologies john That's good to see.
