We might as well of not bought anyone then, and played what we had. We would probably still have won the league without the painter, Sandaza and Shiels. We screamed blue murder about the transfer ban and when they lifted it for one window, Green shat it and bought Templeton to create the illusion he spent something. Less than a million spent on new players in our situation was robbery. the gunslinger 3,366 Posted December 16, 2012 Share Posted December 16, 2012 so do celtic but they seem to get the odd full house and the £2m plus revenue per full house that goes with it, not to mention the worldwide plaudits for such a wonderful atmosphere and frightening home support. i believe it would be worth it. now with the support we are showing is the time to do it. be bold, show ambition, show the world we are the biggest. their 3 near full houses from european football will bring them in over £7m, from just 3 matches. if they draw us at home in the cup, that is another £2m. we cant touch them financially yet we claim to be a big club. 800k of that 2 million would go to us. 100k to the sfa. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
kuznetsov 0 Posted December 16, 2012 Share Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) 800k of that 2 million would go to us. 100k to the sfa. its at least 2 million, it maybe nearer 3 million depending on pies and programmes sold, doesnt matter anyway, that cup tie is a one off hypothetical situation. the fact is they have a much bigger stadium and rake in millions more than us every year because of that. its also part of the reason why players choose to go there and not to us. we will never be able to compete financially with them if we dont match or exceed their capacity. small club mentality thinking 50000 is enough for us. celtic coudlnt fill their ground before they built it bigger. pointless you could think increasing it but it worked. over 10 years of average attendances into the high 90 percents.
