Rangers share offer prospectus (PDF) 122pages.

I did say I "rarely" state my opinion as truth, I didnt say it never happens. It's not arrogant if i'm happy to stand corrected, which i am if you point out my misdemeanour. The problem when you are a little anti-Green, is you sometimes have to be more forceful than his admirers to get your point across.

I think, like McCoist, there are few "admirers" of Green - more-so people who like some of what they do and have not seen enough to think of either of them deserving to be attacked all the time. Being overly forceful only reinforces that stance.

My own opinion of Green is ambivalent - I like a lot of what he is doing but can't stand the way that he wants to take, in his words, "huge" amounts of money paid for by the fans, out of the club and into his and other fat-cats' pockets.

I'm ok with people making a profit but only if we get value for money. I'd rather be £18m in debt to a bank and paying 4% interest than to have businessmen fleecing us in a way that makes Wonga.com look like they offer a reasonable APR, while charging us huge wages and expenses on top.

You obviousyly dont frequent many other Rangers boards if you think people dont see him as our saviour/hero. He has plenty of admirers amongst our support. Apart from that, I agree with most of what you said. It's like the ultimate reverse psychology, he tells us he's in it for the money, so most think it's ok because at least he's being honest. It's only when you look at just how much money they will be making that it starts to be concerning. We are paying the mans gas bill/ rent and council tax etc. Makes you wonder if we are buying him his weekly shopping also. Is 30k a month not enough to get by in Glasgow these days?

I've confessed money going out isn't ideal, but McCann was chastised for it over the road yet would they still be around if he hadn't come along?

I'm open minded about people making money so long as the club isn't crippled in any manner (I don't count being 2nd to Celtic as crippled as much as i'd rather it wasn't the case, need to be back comfortably competing in the top league soon though). And as I said before if these rich Rangers men are as serious as many like to think then they'll be able to buy Green and co out over the next few years and pump loads of cash in without any return, although i'm skeptical about that.

I think you are missing the reality of the situation now. If any rich Rangers men, or other types of men want to invest in the future, they will have to buy the shares from Green and co, therefore any new money coming in will go to them, and not to the club. Dont forget the original investors were promised 100% profit on their original investment. Where do you think that will come from? They got the shares for next to nothing because of our position, and they will all make a killing. Vultures, every last one of them, including green.

Just as well you are "happy" about playing second fiddle to them for the next decade or so, because that is what we are all signing up for. Open your eyes man. Green and co, are not friends of Rangers. Never have been, and never will will be.

Of course you have to pay to buy initially, what are they meant to hand them the shares for free? Unless they're asking for a king's randsom why can they not buy them out and then put money into the club? All I keep hearing is that they aren't interested in getting money back so why can't they take the hit?

Friends maybe not but not enemies for me either, the enemies for me are all the people and groups that put us in this situation, Green and co took a business opportunity. Green also stands up for us and the enemy of my enemy is my friend etc etc. Vultures isn't an accurate description either considering they feed off dead bodies, you think they're going to literally kill the club? By kill I mean administration with no way back this time, finishing behind Celtic is not the club's death.

It's not that i'm happy about it but i'm still very grateful to have a club, and as with their 9 in a row Lisbon Lions team the Rangers will be back eventually, history shows these things go in cycles.

Oh and again I just wish you could leave out the 'wake up', 'reality' stuff and just counter a different opinion normally, but i'm likely talking to myself there.

You would be surprised how many people walk about in here with open eyes. We do not exactly need an(-other) "advocate of doom". We had that before Whyte and Green took over and both were bound to destroy us. At the end of the day, Green did not. Will he and his kin? This evil ragtag band of capitalists being only here for profit and cash? Hardly likely. He was our saviour, but will not be the saviour of this club. On the other hand, fan-ownership will not come to pass (at least in Britain with a great club in the forseeable future), we had our autocratic dictators and will not have a sheikh or oil billionaire in the very near future either. So while you can sure point out the possible negative outcomes of everything Green or the share issue, it is just your humble opinion. You are as likely to know what will really happen with that money as any other poster in here. The prospectus told us what will be done with it and serious questions will be asked - next year - if this does not come to pass. So far - even though some more conservative posters will disagree - Green has done most of what he told us and for the time being, the support seems to believe him. And I for one would refrain from calling all those believing in his plans witless or stupid.
