Gribz 966
9 times out of 10 Ive agreed with Traynor's views whenever Ive heard it that is. Used to listen his call show on a Sunday morning here and felt he always took a common sense approach, unlike bitter journo's who had an agenda. By doing this he could easily upset diehard fans of every club. But he's a sensible, upfront and honest guy, I think its a good appointment. With Green being outspoken in a great way and taking no punches and now Traynor, we have a good platform for the future. Just thankful John Brown didnt get his hands on the club....he'd never be wise or bold enough to consider an appointment like this.
Zappa 0
Traynor certainly knows where all the bodies are buried in and around Scottish football. A very shrewd appointment by our canny Yorkshireman. Aye and he absolutely LOVES shit-stirring, so he's the type of character that's good to have on your side rather than firing missiles at you.
Zappa 0
he's a sensible, upfront and honest guy Spot on. Even when he's stirring, causing trouble and rubbing people up the wrong way, I've always thought he comes accross as being honest.
54andcounting 0
Well he's certainly landed the biggest job in Scotland I'm 100% sure he'll be fighting his corner...well done Jim Christmas cards to follow.
Gribz 966
We still need another Trainer though! To help out on the coaching. I always thought his full name should be Jim 'The Puma' Traynor.
Cotter 0
Very happy with this appointment. Welcome aboard Jim.
The Real PapaBear 0
Great appointment, if for no other reason than he'll have to give up hosting Your Call - at which he was, bloody awful. I'll be sad to see him go from Sportsound, though. Traynor is a heavyweight and Green isn't appointing him for his diplomatic, defensive conciliatory qualities. Looks like Green may have a plan after all.

bossy 0
I have never been a big fan of Traynor. But there is no doubt that he is very capable. Lets hope he is with the program and can be part of the fightback.
