RANGERSâ?? value may have soared to £50million â?? just months after Charles Green paid £5½million for the club.

Chief executive Green, 59, revealed he has raised £17million from investors and financial institutions.

A £10million share offer for fans and the existing stakes of backers including SportsDirect tycoon Mike Ashley could see Gers worth £50million on paper when they join the AIM stock exchange on December 19.

Fansâ?? spokesman Mark Dingwall said: â??It seems very encouraging â?? confidence has grown.â? Green bought the club in May, months after it plunged into administration. Footy finance expert Neil Patey hailed it â??a good day for Rangersâ?.

Ibrox chiefs were unable to comment due to stock market rules.
