Investors To Buy Nearly £20m Of Shares

Recommended Posts

This is taken from FF. I haven't seen the report myself. Report from The Times.

At least one broker appears to be busy in these trying times. Not only is Cenkos Securities putting the finishing touches to a multimillion-pound fundraising for Rangers FC, it also has been marshalling support for those pressured British companies prospecting for oil and gas off the Falkland Islands.

Well-informed sources suggested that institutional investors had agreed to buy nearly £20 million of shares in Rangers at 70p each as part of its AIM flotation.

Supporters of the Glasgow football club, relegated from the Scottish Premier League to the countryâ??s fourth tier after being bought out of administration in June, will be able to buy another £10 million of shares at the same price for the next month or so, with a minimum investment of £500.

we will soon be an asset on the balance sheet of a group of investors

If the fans don't take this opportunity to invest as much as possible we are leaving ourselves open to someone buying up shares in a few years time and using us as a plaything, again.

Probably because there is no basis in law for the 15% claim and it'll be contrary to the AIM rules.

Good to have "people in the know", not only in law and aim rules, but also what Green wants to do ...

(Yes, there's a touch sarcasm in there, as it is usually the not-so-Green faction who "knows" this con-Green stuff and has it handy at any opportune moment. Alas, the future will reveal it all ... )

Yes it's quite bizarre you ask a question and when it's answered factually you automatically conclude it's an attack on Green.

So show me the basis in law for Green or anybody else for that matter being able to limit someones stake in a publicly quoted company to 15% ditto for the AIM rule enabling him to do likewise.

I'm not optimistic, the share issue seems quite demonised for one reason and another.

This investment sounds very welcome mind you.
