What is wrong with rewards through share value?

Nothing, but I wasn't referring to anyone making some money from their shares increasing in value. While you mention it though, let's be realistic about this notion of RFC share values magically increasing in any significant way: I won't say it won't happen because you never know, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.

Because success for Rangers should always be judged by what's in the trophy cabinet not the vagaries of the square mile. In my opinion we shouldn't be an attractive investment vehicle for hedge fund managers. If your goal is to raise the share value then you make decisions based on achieving that. Those decisions might not always be in the best interest of the support though.

Not really, the share values can only really rise if the club progresses on the park.

It's a fantasy world where there isn't a business element to football, and let's remember if these 'hedge fund managers' hadn't seen us as an attractive investment we might no longer have a club.
