VB Exclusive - We Don't Do Deals (With Rangers)

Recommended Posts

That was common knowledge even before we went into admin. As we saw back then, HMRC was doing deals that cost them much more, best example remains Vodafone. It is complex and it sure ain't just black & white (or whyte, for that matter).

And Goldman Sachs - 2billion, I believe.

it reeks of paranoia. pretty much their default setting.

as for romanov he probably doesnt have a long history of screwing hmrc.

Does Whyte? For all his other past deeds has it ever been confirmed he has previous with HMRC?

As the article says doesn't explain the CVA rejection anyway.

Point is they never even entertained the possibility of sorting it out amicably.

greens cva offer was at best shite at worst designed to fail so he could get us for 5.5 million.

the sooner everyone get their head round the fact whyte made sure we were liquidated and he did it deliberately the better.

So what was TBK's then? Or were those CL quarter finals going to twist HMRC's arm?

The sooner you accept a CVA was never going to happen for anyone the better.

tbk was no better or perhaps slightly worse.

if it was always going to fail then why are you asking about its rejection.

Fail because of HMRC's attitude, which is being questioned.

If they don't get some results in going after individuals then they'd have been as well accepting the CVA and getting slightly more, and getting more tax from a SPL club.

This was the problem in a nutshell. HMRC couldn't/wouldn't do deals with Whyte.

But, as I've said numerous times before,we must find out how Whyte got the club at all.

His dodgy business history was well known. On the day he got the club the Daily Telegraph had an article all about him & his colourful past.

No one was duped. His past was there for all to see.

No, I believe it was LBG and the 2 amigos running the scottish division who blackmailed SDM into selling to Whyte who was a car crash waiting to happen.

Forget HMRC.
