ESPN To Make Rangers Documentary

Recommended Posts

An ESPN television crew arrived in Glasgow on Friday to spend a week filming a documentary about Rangers. The content will be based around the club's supporters, since the commitment that led to almost 49,000 filling Ibrox for a routine Irn-Bru Third Division match has become newsworthy outside Scotland. The broadcasters interviewed Charles Green and Sandy Jardine on Saturday morning, and will spend this week talking to supporters, journalists, and even David Longmuir, chief executive of the Scottish Football League. Mostly, though, they are trying to understand the phenomenon that causes so many people to join in Ibrox's Saturday pageantry.

I fear it will be more about how the mighty have fallen rather than how the empowered let us fall or how the fallen are rising as the article suggests.

Having said that JohnDCGow, an ESPN reporter is a big fan of the club and I'm sure he'll at least keep tabs on what's happening.

I spoke to the dudes on Saturday. Other than pushing the liquidation line they were spot on. Amazed at the journey NI bears make every other Saturday.

Think we will be fine with them. They were covered in Rangers scarves, hats, programmes and the leaflets on Buy Rangers etc.

Never intended on speaking with and I had a few pints in me by the time they came along. :-/
