The official Rangers website lists this game as a 12.45pm kick off.

Aberdeen v Celtic is live on ESPN that day, so it can't be that kick off time for tv purposes.

Can anybody clarify why it is a lunchtime game ?

East Stirlingshire play at Ohilview Park home of Stenhousemuir, the ground sits 12,000 ft below sea-level, it is the lowest football park in the world and because of the winter solstice darkness descends on the 17th of November - 8 times every 10 years earlier than anywhere on the globe. The ground unfortunately has no floodlighting due to an ongoing dispute with Stirlingshire council over an electricity bill from 6 years ago, (the last time Stenhousemuir played on November 17th).

East Stirlingshire FC asked fans if they were able to help to get a 3pm kick-off with contributions into the "Friends of Earth" fund, but refused.

The kick-off time was therefore decided on a 12.45pm time since it wont get dark before the game ends.

The SFL have confirmed that the referee in charge will not add any more than 3 minutes injury time due to circumstances.

Nice piece of writing "54".

That bit sounds right but the rest sounds like a figment of your extremely fertile imagination; much like some other bollocks I've been reading tonight.

If Ochilview was 12,000 ft below sea level, the Titanic would be sitting on top of it.

And of course the SFL have no authority over the time added on by a referee.

I suppose that they kick off at dawn on April the 1st and keep playing till dusk?
