buba3d 0
barcas walking the ball mentality is always bound not to work when you come up against a team with 2 bags of 4 sitting at the back with one hovering about the halfway line, the tactic worked for us at home against them, it worked for Chelsea and now it's worked for them
Crimson Dynamo 128
It was a good result for them and will probably get them Europa League at least.
ian1964 10,720
We beat the German champions, French champions and got a decent point at home to the Spanish champions, found ourselves on 7 points after 3 games and still managed to get criticised for apparently playing negative football.

Barca actually weren't Spanish champions that time, doesn't detract from the point though.
ian1964 10,720
Barcelona star Lionel Messi spits the dummy as he brands Celtic victory 'lucky' 9 Nov 2012 07:29 THE world player of the year was in less than gracious mood as he took a swipe at Neil Lennon's Celtic following Wednesday night's incredible result at Parkhead. BUBBLING Lionel Messi has spat the dummy after branding Celtic’s win against Barcelona “lucky”. The Argentine cry baby – who became a dad for the first time last week when his son Thiago was born – threw the toys out of the pram after his side’s 2-1 Champions League loss in Glasgow. Messi kept a dummy in his sock at Parkhead but failed to produce it even when he scored Barca’s injury-time consolation. Instead he had a swipe at Celtic by accusing them of scoring their first goal from a corner simply because they were bigger than Tito Vilanova’s men. The World Player of the Year believes Neil Lennon’s side were fortunate to emerge with one of the best results in the club’s 125-year history. Messi said: “They were very lucky. It’s a shame but we just couldn’t do anything about it. “We did everything in the game but just couldn’t get past them. “Celtic came at us twice and got two goals from it. When they scored they just locked their defence. “The first goal from the corner arrived because they are a bigger team than us – it was the same as their goal in the Nou Camp. “The second goal was our own fault. “My goal didn’t mean too much but I’m sure I’ll score many goals and significant victories to dedicate to the birth of my son. “We are still in first place and we are relaxed. “We did everything well and made good chances but the ball just didn’t go in.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/blubbering-barcelona-star-lionel-messi-1426558
