Share Issue- What Are The RSTs Intentions?

Recommended Posts

Someone from the RST answer if poss.

What do they intend to do? Will members be able to pay in instalments? Will they ask non members to use their shares in conjunction with the RST to have a bigger say? Are they paying back the money from GersSave, or can they buy shares with it?

Perhaps they have put a statement out and I have missed it, or are they waiting on the prospectus.

Such a pity we couldn't have a Trust with 10k/20k membership.

I'm sure Forum members will have other questions.

We will shortly be launching a Community Share scheme. The money will be held in an Escrow account held by our solicitors and be used to buy shares in the Club. Members will be buying a share in the scheme rather than in Rangers but their money will be going to Rangers. It will cost £125 per share. It means that we can all pull our resourses together and hopefully acquire a meaningful stake in the club. Anyone wanting their own share certificate and AGM invitation only has to go to a broker after the IPO and buy 1 share to be able to get these. Sorry I can't really say anything further as there is a whole team working on this who are more knowledgeable than me.

We have no plans for people paying in instalments as it is very difficult to deal with the administration of that given we all have jobs and other commitments. As for Gersave, i've been going through everyone who still has money in the scheme and offering refunds. I'm leaving the rest until we have a brochure out about the new initiative, then they can make an informed decision about what they want to do with their cash.

I hope that answers your questions.

Tims are supposed to be flooding us with requests for share issue prospecti at £3 a time.

Are there any safeguards to prevent this ?

a bit counter productive from them as Mr green will just be able to announce unprecidented interest in the shares. it will end up like facebook people buying because of the buzz.

also prospectuses will get cheaper the more you print.

Thanks for the answers, pity about the instalment payments, think this would have created interest.
