Guest cail
Having jumped ship at the earliest opportunity from the club that gave him his big break, Gregg Wylde will be sent to footballing giants Carlisle United as he can't break into a poor Bolton team.
the gunslinger 3,366
I liked him. we played better with him in the team. his pace very much put the opposition on the back foot from the off. he turned the tide v celtc that won us 3 in a row and the cup when we were struggling against them.
amms 0
Yeah I liked Wylde too, he made an impact when he broke into the team that season. Having a naturally left footed player made a difference, I'm sorry it's not working out for him down south.
Darthter 542
It would have been good to still have him in the team.... Along with Aird & McKay it would have given us some fairly good & pacey options on the flanks.

GovanAllan 0
No not for me a one trick pony, and like so many others has found out the hard way it's only a long slow slide once you leave the Rangers.

Wylde left with his head held high. We agreed to cancel his contract as a means of reducing the wage bill having just gone into administration. His contribution, and that of those who agreed significant wage cuts, saved the jobs of many people at the club who can only dream of earning what the likes of Wylde can and do. We should not allow this to be forgotten, no matter how bitter we feel to some players for the manner in which they cut ties with the club.

Let's be honest now GS, Wylde was utter crap. Absence makes the heart grow fonder EH?
der Berliner 3,888
Wylde had pace, but was largely very one-dimensional. Once a defender had adjusted to his style, he was relatively ineffective. In contrast, Aird, McKay and even Macleod show IMHO more football ability than Gregg.

He used the situation to jump ship to Bolton, his agent no doubt had been in contact with them for ages. Goian, Bocanegra, Edu etc can hold their heads high, those that couldn't wait to get away are nothing but rats.
