Recommended Posts

Statement from Clyde FC confirming they voted for Rangers to be admitted to the SFL. Despite the Record claiming otherwise.

The Daily Record has today (24th)published an apology to the club, following an inaccurate article that appeared in the edition of Saturday 14th July. It reads as follows:-

"Clyde Football Club have asked us to correct an error in an article on July 14. They say they did not ask Rangers to be excluded from the SFL during the voting process which resulted in them being admitted to the Third Division.

"At the Daily Record, we pride ourselves in journalism that is fair, honest and accurate. We do our best to correct errors or publish clarifications as soon as possible."

A club statement on the morning of 13th July the day of the SFL Special General Meeting, confirmed that Clyde FC would vote YES to resolution 1 which proposed to admit Sevco Scotland Ltd to the SFL.

The club was also contacted by Allan Rennie, Editor in Chief of Media Scotland who said:-

"Regarding the article, the error was inserted during the production process. That was down to a miscommunication and pure human error."

Fair, honest, accurate, from the Daily Rhebel, I think I'll crack the jokes.

Interesting to here that the excuse is it was inserted during the production process, so that must mean that someone is adding or taking away pieces after the journalist has signed off the article.

Daily Rhebel's Fair, honest and accurate is up there with, "there was this Scotsman, Englishman and Irishman"...

Does Duitser mean German?

Yes it does. The Dutch have the same jokes with as we do. The Germans have big mouths and the Belgians are brainless which leaves the Dutch being stingy which they really are.

One particular joke is(sorry DB) Why are Germans always buried head down. It would take too much earth to fill their mouths.
