DEFINITIONS

It is important to define what we mean by the Protestant, Loyalist & Unionist community.

The People Together definitions are:-

PROTESTANT - Someone who is of the Protestant faith or brought up in a Protestant culture and who identifies with this.

UNIONIST - Someone who wishes to maintain the Union of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.

LOYALIST - Someone who wishes to maintain the Union and is loyal to the British Throne.

It should be noted that both Unionists and Loyalists can be people of all faiths or none.

This makes our campaign a much broader platform than may at first be perceived.

We cannot emphasis enough that hatred for other people groups has no place in our campaign.

WHY THE ASSOCIATION WITH RANGERS FC? - This campaign began as a response to the disgusting attacks on Rangers FC and its fans - and the realisation that it was part of a much bigger agenda directed at the Protestant, Loyalist and Unionist community, from which much of the Rangers fanbase comes. We realise that not every person who supports Rangers is a Protestant, Loyalist or Unionist but we believe that every Rangers fan can support our broad aims, which we believe will benefit the club.

We claim no official connection with The Rangers Football Club.

Thought it is only fair to add this. Front of the blog does actually distinguish about faith/non faith.

I think this has been added since it went live though.
