Mohamed Latif ‎(23 October 1909 – 17 March 1990) was an Egyptian professional footballer. He played for the clubs Al-Zamalek of Egypt and Rangers F.C. ofScotland,[1] as well as for the Egyptian national team.

Latif helped the Egyptian national team qualify for the 1934 World Cup, scoring three goals against British mandate football team during the qualification rounds.[2] He also played at the finals tournament in Egypt's only match, against Hungary.

After the World Cup, Latif was brought to Glasgow by Egypt's national coach, the Scotsman James McRea.[3] He played his only Scottish League match against Hibs in the 1935-36 season.[4]

Wisnae Maxie and it wisnae somebody either. It was McInnes and he was outside left so Hilley, Harley and Gray move one to the right.

 

Third in the league with a hundred goals in 1960. Gone in seven years.
