calscot 0
Almost seems a bit rude knocking nine past a team celebrating their 10th anniversary...
54andcounting 0
During the 1968-69 season John Greig was the regular penalty taker of the team. After 5 successes from the spot he then missed one in a nervy Fairs Cup quarter final first leg tie against Atletico Bilbao at Ibrox with 'Gers only leading 2-1. Greig vowed after the game (which finished 4-1) 'I'll never take another penalty kick'. 3 and a half years later in a League Cup game against Dumbarton with Rangers already 4-0 up, Derek Parlane the regular taker, and who had earlier put 'Gers 2-0 ahead from the spot, handed John the ball and said 'go on, take it',...he did and scored. THAT was the last penalty kick he ever took.
54andcounting 0
In a Rangers v Falkirk league match in 1970, John Greig and Alex Ferguson were sent off for swapping punches.
54andcounting 0
1968-69 Fairs Cup second round. Colin Stein made his European debut for Rangers against Dundalk scoring twice helping his side to progress into the 3rd round. A month earlier in the 1st round of the competition he had helped Hibs into the 2nd round against NK Olimpija scoring in a 3-0 win.
54andcounting 0
Staying with Colin... his last taste of glory was in season 77-78 while on loan from Rangers to Kilmarnock who played in the 1st division at the time which sensationally beat Celtic in a replayed Scottish Cup match to earn a trip to Ibrox in the quarter-finals. Rangers had to pulp all the tickets they had somewhat presumptively printed advertising their opponents as Celtic. Killie were beaten 4-1. Stein didn’t score but it was perhaps fitting that Ibrox was the ground where he played his last full 90 minutes.

andy steel 0
On BT Sport1 this morning (Friday), Melbourne Victory are playing Perth Glory in the A-League. Melbourne are managed by Kevin Muscat, ex-Rangers left back, and Perth by Ally Edwards, ex-Rangers reserve striker of the late 80's. Round, round, get around, we get around....
