The defender's loan deal had been on hold since last Friday's transfer deadline day, when he completed the arrangement near the witching hour. Scottish media speculation raised the possibility that Bocanegra could be returned to Rangers due to Santander being tardy in registration with the Segunda División office, but it has now been determined that all necessary paperwork had been filed before the transfer buzzer. "Carlos has gained clearance for the loan move to Racing Santander," Bocanegra's agent, Lyle Yorks, told MLSsoccer.com. "He will be available for selection when he returns [from US duty]." Bocanegra, who is preparing for Friday's CONCACAF World Cup qualifier in Jamaica, will get his first chance to suit up for Racing when Recreativo Huelva pay a visit on Sept. 15. No big loss given the league we are in. Still a very classy guy though and one I am happy to have seen play for Rangers. 54andcounting 0 Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) Boca wouldn't have returned to Rangers anyway because of some 'visa/registration' issue in GB - if the Spain thing hadn't worked out for him then his only option was a return to the USA pronto, never back to Ibrox - Red tape stuff.
