Critical (and extremely busy) 14 days coming up!

Recommended Posts

Starting on Saturday the 15th we've got a massive 14 days ahead with 5 games to be played including games in all 3 Cup competitions. Thankfully 3 of these games are at Ibrox, so we're in with a very good shout of winning all five games if we can beat Motherwell at Ibrox on the 26th. That won't be an easy game though and neither will the one away against Forres Mechanics at the end of the month!

Saturday 15th: Annan v Rangers - SFL3

Tuesday 18th: Rangers v Queen of the South - Ramsdens Cup

Sunday 23rd: Rangers v Montrose - SFL3

Wednesday 26th: Rangers v Motherwell - Scottish Communities League Cup

Saturday 29th: Forres Mechanics v Rangers - Scottish Cup

6 league points and progression in all 3 cups up for grabs in the space of 14 days!!!

Let's be honest ... most of us agree that we will beat nigh anything that the SFL will present us with this season. Maybe not hands-down, but anyway. There will be the odd blib, even a defeat here and there, that is because we still play this funny old game called football. I'm expecting this and won't go ballistic if it happens.

Motherwell will be a stern test, but I will approach it rather open minded. So far, a couple of semi-pre-season away games apart, we have started to find our feet and played some decent enough stuff with this quite fresh squad. It is as relaxed a season's beginning as any I have experienced so far, not least after the very real possibility of no Rangers a few months back.

No reason why we shouldn't/couldn't win 5.

As someone above suggested though, football's a funny old game.

It certainly is and it's a massive run of games coming up for Ally and the squad because there's undoubtedly potential banana skins in this run of 5 games.

Cup games will take care of themselves. Massively confident we'll beat QOTS and Forres. Motherwell might be a different story but with home advantage and if the defence can hold up Templeton, Sheils etc should see us through.

Really think we need a little run of league games too, to place us where we should be in the league. Don't like not being top in div 3 even at this early stage. Its embarrassing.
