Not surprisingly, my PC has placed a red line under this 'word'. I've just finished 'Bleak House' by Charles Dickens...it appears the sun writers share a taste for obsolete Victorian terminology. How could Phil sign a deal with such a backwards, Imperialist newspaper? For shame!

Most newspapers seem to be jokes these days. Read the Guardian (which is probably the highest regarded) online recently and was pretty shocked at the standard of so-called journalism. I thought they might be the voice of reason or at least objectivity on the Assange affair but was well disabused of that notion.
