Why There Were Not More Signings

are you saying he didnt say that? or are you saying it has been reinvested?

I'm saying you can't ignore that a UEFA class stadium and training ground need maintained, as well as all the other staff paid, there's been no employee cuts remember.

It isn't all about being used on transfers.

I doubt that. We had no interest in some of the players because until we went into admin they were under contract and happy playing for us. I don't think things would have turned out much differently if they had tuped over, except we would have got more money and they would have got less.

The conspiracy theories about Green and the TUPE are bizarre, what about those that remained, were they flaws in his plan or did he do something different because he didn't mind them staying?

We could have sold them all for fairly small fees (release clauses in contracts remember) within a week or two at most, as you mention they took the free agent option out of greed.

The departures of Goian, Bocanegra (albeit even temporary) and Edu clearly show what Green had planned re TUPE.

Had Green gained the SPL prize money and had all the players been TUPED over then his "investors" would have already had over 100% of their "investment" returned, wonder if they'll sue Duff & Phelps for that particular f*&k up.

Green's motivation as he has been open enough to state on numerous occasions is simple, to make money, he'll be well satisfied with a transfer window where he has a surplus on dealing and a lower wage bill safe in the knowledge that he'll be sitting in his farm in Devon counting his (our?) cash by the time it comes for Rangers to spend in the transfer window comes round again.

Don't be the slightest bit surprised if Green surrenders out titles because if he thinks it's in his masters financial interest to do so then it will be done.

Some people do forget that despite the draw of "Rangers FC", footballers have their own egos and ambitions, not least those from beyond Scotland. It was not exactly easy to attract players to the SPL and Scottish Football ... not least when our neighbours from down south were and are able to pay ridiculous wages. I doubt it was any easier to attract people to the 4th tier of Scottish football ... where any international hopefuls would auto-drop out of their country's manager's sights.

We've got some 40 odd players, and even most of the youngsters have featured and beaten Scottish 3rd to 1st Division sides already. This is the best time for any new McKay or Macleod to make their make and hopefully some will rise from the ranks of the "unknown" like the aforementioned. We've got a very young squad now and a new and great challenge ahead for everybody.

All three wanted to leave to save their international careers and try and play in the next World Cup, you surely don't believe otherwise?

Fucking hell, the man has backed the manager with top SPL players in division 3. He's stated about making money but has always said that will be by getting Rangers back to the top again and making shares more valuable via the stock market, not by the methods you seem to be suggesting. A sensible wage bill is exactly what we need after all that has gone on.

What the SPL/SFA/Celtic's title agenda has to do with investors I do not know, but Green has already shown himself ready to stand up for us.

Usually you're at least sensible with your views but this post is pathetic FS.

And being a Scottish Second division player as opposed to being a Scottish Third division player is going to make the world of difference to that happening eh?

He's spent as little as he could get away with. What "methods" am I suggesting ? A SPL (or top flight rather) club would fetch more than a third tier club would it not? Not a single "investor" has any emotional tie to the club they're only interested in cold hard cash and simply want to maximise their return (it's called Capitalism) and if surrendering titles is going to harvest more cash then they will do so that's just the way it is.
