Let's Show The World

CHARLES GREEN has called on the Rangers fans to send a worldwide message about their strength and unity.

The Chief Executive has been overwhelmed by the remarkable response from the fans who have been snapping up season tickets and nearly sold out Ibrox last weekend for the East Stirlingshire match.

News agencies, newspapers and TV channels all over the world were reporting the 49,188 crowd which is unsurpassed for a fourth tier game in European football.

Season ticket sales are now tantalisingly close to the same total for this time last season when Rangers were three in a row SPL champions.

Now Green wants the supporters to hit that target again. He said: â??Sales have been remarkable in the last couple of weeks. Earlier this week we were over 34,000 and I canâ??t thank the fans enough. Itâ??s testimony to their loyalty.

â??I would really like to get beyond the 36,000 the club sold by this point last year so thatâ??s the challenge I am setting fans.

â??If we can beat last seasonâ??s number I think it sends such a strong message out to football in general.

â??The interest in Ranges is worldwide. I met with an agent the other day and he said he was in Italy last Sunday and he opened the Sunday paper to find two pages on Rangers whereas Juventus only had a few columns.

â??I think the whole world is interested. There has been worldwide coverage of Rangers not just in Scotland.â?

when you compare how martin bain and david murray ruined us to how mr green and his consortium are doing things it is a frightening contrast. i cant help but think our brand and club have missed a trick or two over the past 20 years.

The titles hide the truth mate, we were actually stagnating while the rest of the world moved on hopefully the new guys in control can drag us up by our bootlaces and get us back into world football not just Scottish.

Well, CG is doing all the right things and saying all the right things,we still have to be very wary of course, but if he continues the way he has started then we have a lot to look forward to,here's hoping!.
