Charles Green: There is an 'agenda' against Rangers in Scottish football

Recommended Posts

It's nothing like Whyte, heard this a few times.

Whyte was standing up mainly for himself when the BBC started digging him up, no-one is planning programmes on Charles Green as far as I know.

look at what whyte was doing in august. not October.

I'm not saying its the same just pointing out that actions are what count.

if you prefer sdm promised us 3 players one January and delivered one.

Eh? So a colour means the same as FTP? LMAO (LOL may be misconstrued :D). An over-exaggeration.

Not sure what you mean. They would both be pandering to sets of our fans and not pandering to theirs. In regards to that how are they different? The point is that your "rule" doesn't really stand up to scrutiny.

I wear blue and orange ties. What does that prove? I also wear some green ties. Neither say anything about religion.

I think it proves your taste is dubious! ;) Would you wear a bright green and white tie to a Rangers dinner? We're not really talking religion here, it's about appropriateness. The trouble is that we've ruined that colour for us by using it inappropriately. You might prefer to signal the number one with your middle finger, but I think you know not to do that to your client - well normally. It's all pretty obvious and I don't really want to have to preach codes of behaviour to an intelligent man. You're argument requires us to forget about decorum and you can argue all day about the colours of things but you know it's about context and interpretation.

You know it's about the OO and I can't see how acting ignorant of this is a good argument.

Diplomacy? As in not criticising Regan and Doncaster? Turning the other cheek to all the clubs that shafted us? Allowing the press to set the agenda, whether it be on our strips or anything else. Been there. Done that. Got shafted. F**k diplomacy.

Who said we shouldn't criticise people? Should people who represent our club do it with diplomacy? I think so. Did Green do so? I think so. Yes, we still get shafted but that doesn't make it wrong. And in the long term, if we are generally good and likeable, people will be on our side.

If you are polite to someone and they are rude to you back, should you f**k politeness?

You seem to suffer from the illusion that we as fans have been diplomatic. Nothing could be further from the truth - all the dignified silence in the world does not cancel out all the undignified noise many have made. Rangers fans don't DO diplomatic. That's the problem and that's why we keep getting shafted, all the way down to division three.

Class? I don't see that having orange in our strips affects our class, in the same way as it didn't if we had purple or mauve. I will not allow my views of a colour to be dictated by mopes or neds.

Maybe you need to find out what class means. A lot of it is acting appropriately at the right time in all contexts.

You're last sentence is a strange one. There is a bank that makes a point in their adverts of the fact they know how to act in different cultures all over the world in order to do business. I would have thought as a businessman you'd have got it.

ALLY McCOIST says the queues of fans outside Ibrox are a welcome sight as season ticket sales continue to grow.

Last week the Rangers boss called for supporters to back the club by taking up the option of a ticket for the full campaign at Ibrox.

And he has been delighted by the response, with renewals taking the total to over 25,000 ahead of today’s public sale.

The opening of the sale for new season ticket holders has seen unprecedented queues outside the Ibrox ticket centre today.

And following on from superb backing at the East Fife League Cup tie, the response from fans has delighted McCoist.

He said: “I can’t tell you how thrilled I am by the support. I meet fans everywhere and their support gives you a real boost when it comes to what we’re attempting to do here.

“I have to say that they have been totally behind us and will continue to be totally behind the club and for that support we are very, very grateful.”

With over 38,000 turning out on a Tuesday night for a League Cup tie, McCoist is hopeful of hitting sell-out numbers at Ibrox on Saturday at 3pm.

He added: “That would be brilliant. I don’t want to tempt fate, but if it’s anything like the East Fife game on a Tuesday night it would be terrific.

“That was absolutely out of this world, it really was. It was a particularly good night for everyone involved in the club.

“The fans turned out in their numbers and the players gave a good performance so more of the same would be fantastic at the weekend.

“I’m looking forward to Saturday at three o’clock. We’ve already had games moved to a Thursday and to a Sunday at 4.30 and our supporters seem to be getting battered all over the place.

“So we’re looking forward to Saturday at 3pm. I thought in SFL3 we might get a good few of those but that remains to be seen.”

Seems to me that if the queue is so big they should make it easier on the fans. Like let them collect a numbered ticket like Argos and go sit in the stadium with the big screens on with something entertaining on, which flashes the numbers up in the corner when you're tenth next or something, so that you can go and join a much shorter queue.
