Is the tide starting to turn for Charles Green?

Recommended Posts

CG's ultimate aim must be to get Regan out at the SFA and Doncaster out at the SPL. These two are our enemies whichever way you look at it

I would prfer that he just got on with making Rangers stronger, if he got rid of these 2 who would take over? Would just be another 2 of the same.

There's a pic on Willie Vass of Charles chatting to David Longmuir in the directors box last night, maybe become quite friendly?

Could work together on Doncaster and Regan.

Surely if the McLeish review is implemented and the 3 bodies are reduced to 1 then it will be Longmuir in the hot seat and the other 2 will be sent on their way?

Longmuir only looks great by comparison.

He's just - by far - the best of a bad bunch.

Scottish football needs a complete overhaul and some accountable professionals governing and running it.

And no club chairmen.

Not one.

I think there's a distinct difference between backing the club and getting behind the team for this part of the club's journey (these are things that most fans of ANY football club would do!) and trusting the new owners, especially so early in their tenure and especially since we basically don't know who the new owners actually are.

Is bringing in some free agents because there's absolutely no choice but to strengthen the playing squad if we're to complete the season's fixtures and compete for the 3rd division title + promotion a good reason to trust our new CEO and the club's mysterious new owners at this point? Strengthening the playing squad is a must, it's not a sign of trustworthiness.

It's going to take a tad more than that plus a bit of sniping at the other lot in the east end to earn my trust. After what's happened to our club, earning our trust should be difficult, not something that's bought with some throwaway comments to Chic Dung or some other Pacific Quay wido.

Can anyone see another genuine contender gain enough momentum in the current climate to gain control of the Club. Or more to the point, enough people supporting them in another power struggle?

The fans would support another takeover if they think it's the right person or the right people, but the reality is that a buyer at this point would have to be willing to stump up a very large sum of money in comparison to what Green's people paid for the club a couple of months ago. They got a bargain and that puts them in a very strong position.

All the signs are good for me, I simply call it as I see it.

I realise caution is always welcome but i'm not about to be a cynic either based on previous, totally different people/
