Rangers Football Club has today brought its official club website in-house giving the Club complete control over its development and content.

The revamped website will be completely managed by the Clubâ??s Media Department, which will reduce outlays and help secure additional revenue streams for Rangers, and supporters can get closer than ever to the heart of the Light Blues.

With over 500,000 unique users per month, http://www.rangers.co.uk keeps fans worldwide updated on the latest, official Club news 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and supporters can look out for a host of new developments in the coming months.

The website will join the already established internal media portfolio which includes Rangers ground-breaking online TV station RangersTV.tv, Rangers matchday programme, social media channels, (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr), Club books, DVDs, memorabilia, photos, personalised prints and music.

Rangers Manager Ally McCoist commented: â??The best place for fans to keep up to date with all things Rangers is through official Club Media channels and I am sure the new website will be a huge success.

"This is a new beginning for Rangers Football Club and http://www.rangers.co.uk will be with keep fans updated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

It is definitely a substantial improvement.

I have spent a fair bit of time browsing around on it and it is a big advancement.

Glad to see the back of those horrible adverts at the top, plus the summary of the RangersTV services on one page is much better.

I hope they dont take risks though and do have the right team in place to look after it.

Website security can be very damaging to a company if not respected

site looking well tho! nice work

Much better. The website has been very poorly looked after over recent months when it's no doubt been getting a lot more hits than usual. At least now pages load properly at first time of asking.

I notice that the first-team page still contains all of the contract rebels. Considering our new arrivals have been included and the likes of Davis and Fleck have been removed, I'm not sure if that's an oversight or rather a declaration that the deserters are still considered our property.
