Just heard an interview with the Motherwell captain regarding them playing in the CL qualifiers toinight. In his interview he waxes lyrical about earning a place and how they did the hard work last season to get here..... Ok...

 

You fail to mention that you were 11 pts behind the 2nd place team even though that team got 10 pts taken from them and that you only got this place by default... Yip, you earned it alright... you feekin plank

Ach, Lasley is the least of our worries. They played well last season to be the next cab at the rank. Its not their fault we are ineligble to play in Europe.

Fair points mate but it was irksome listening to him. Well had their best season in years and were still miles behind a depleted team in 2nd place. If that was me I wouldn't be talking about "earning the right".

If they earn their bus fare home out of European competition this season they will have done well.

Well v Rangers Aug 11 att: 10,092

Well v Rangers Mar 12 att: 9,063

Well v Pana July 12 att: 9,035

 

So the most attractive match Well will play all season, and their reward for their 3rd place finish last season, the only time they will play in the CL, still could not attract a bigger crowd than a dead rubber match against us only 4 months earlier.
