SPL hold crunch talks with Sky over possible eight-year TV deal

Recommended Posts

I am thinking along the lines that it does all come down to who is getting what TV money etc before they give us our license,

Double edged sword.....if we don't have a license, there is no TV money to distribute!!!

I agree but it does look they are making a deal between the SPL/SFA/SFL on who gets what TV money before they give us our license unless I have it wrong?

The SPL 'don't need Rangers', the SPL kicked Rangers out of the SPL with the full backing from the other SPL clubs and yet the SPL are holding up the license for Rangers to start rebuilding,Rangers have been accepted into the SFL division 3,shouldn't the SPL be getting on with getting the SPL running without Rangers?.

I hope Sky tell them to bugger off. The SPL have tried to have their cake and eat it throughout this whole crisis and their failures are coming home to roost now. It's ironic the only organisation in Scotland out of three governing bodies that can actually do their job properly is the one managing the lower leagues.

They can't without the money we bring in through TV deals though as more clubs will go into admin or worse (they were warned), they want it all i.e. get rid of us but still want the money we can bring in to help them not us. Hopefully the SFL can see they can benefit from having us whilst also giving us our fair share for being in the SFL unlike the greedy SPL.
