8.4 that the SFA and SPL grant approval to the transfer of the Shares in the SFA and SPL to our Newco purchasing vehicle;

This wouldn't have been required with a successful CVA though would it?

And yes, that is a rhetorical question mate.

The consortium's Brian Kennedy valued the bid at £11m conditional on agreeing a company voluntary arrangement and securing Craig Whyte's shareholding.

Rangers' administrator Duff & Phelps described some of the Blue Knights' claims as "grossly misleading".

“Time has run out. This is absolutely critical now”

Paul Murray

The Blue Knights

Duff & Phelps are in talks with two parties, one led by former Sheffield United chief executive Charles Green.

Kennedy and Paul Murray had hoped their group could effect a CVA and start again from a position of no debt, with former Rangers managers Graeme Souness and Walter Smith and one-time Scottish Rugby chief executive Gordon McKie involved in the rebuilding process.

The BBC understands nearly £8m of the Blue Knights' bid was a combination of money owed to the club, including transfer fees, and incentive payments linked to Champions League participation, which could only be realised after next season due to Rangers' ineligibility for European participation in season 2012/13.

It is also believed budget cuts and player sales would have been required in the short term.

cheers mate I see that in my pics now. it is in fairness related to getting the shares. something Kennedy later claimed to have done with out a newco.

Kennedy was clearly saying that a newco route could be on the cards. Yes, he said it in relation to getting Whyte's shares, but my point is that Kennedy (and Paul Murray) would definitely have planned a newco route as well because if they had got preferred bidder status and submitted a CVA proposal they would have needed a backup plan. So basically, the "CVA or nothing" stance from Paul Murray and Kennedy was most likely BS because if they had been given the chance to submit a CVA proposal and it had failed they would probably have tried to take the newco option.

Asked the self same thing dozens of times. Why are these 'Rangers' men always 'a few quid' short? What is their game? Surely we deserve an answer?
