Went out for a meal, and what happens? Someone invites him to join their table as they were having a birthday celebration. I wish we could take back our town from the internet loonies. CG I hope has now seen the real face of Glasgow and will live his life normally, like 99% of us do. I really hate the image of this city we are projecting, both from ourselves (like the two Ardrossan arseholes) and through the media. One time I asked her what she thought if there was any diffirence between Glasgow and Edinburgh. She reckoned that Glasgow was a more friendly place. I said, yes, that's the reputation they have. They also have other types of reputations, but surely it's just a reputation. I also said to her that maybe they're friendlier to you, because when I open my east coast mouth, I get a diffirent reaction sometimes. I had a woman in a pub telling me straight that she hated people from Edinburgh. She kept going on and on until I decided there could be trouble from people that weren't too worried, but were having a dirnk. Fortunately, I've developed a theory that most people are pretty much the same, all over the world and if you treat people with respect and friendliness, you'll be alright. I enjoy going to Glasgow, I'm just as likely to meet a drug crazed asshole in Edinburgh as I am in Glasgow. I'm just not so clued up on Glasgow as Edinburgh, but I have no problem with all the west coast accents I hear in Edinburgh, unless they're talking septic up. lol 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
